Indoor Propagation of Bluetooth Waves, Effect of Distance on Bluetooth Data Transmission, and Simulation of Wave Propagation

چکیده
This paper describes a study of how 2.45GHz electromagnetic waves propagate indoors. 2.45GHz is a typical Bluetooth frequency. Propagation models with both one and several transmitters have been made using an advanced computer program. Furthermore, a model of the propagation of 433MHz radio waves has been made and used as a standard point of comparison. To make sure that such models are reliable the study was renewed using a real 2.45GHz transmitter and receiver and then comparing the results to those given by one of the propagation models. In addition, the results of a study of Bluetooth traffic have been compared to the outcome of a propagation model created to represent a similar situation. Finally, the suitability of Bluetooth for indoor use is discussed. Key-Words: Bluetooth, propagation model, receiver sensitivity, data transmission, packet retransmission

With the rapid growth of indoor wireless communication systems, the need to accurately model radio wave propagation inside the building environments has increased. Many site-specific methods have been proposed for modeling indoor radio channels. Among these methods, the ray tracing algorithm and the finite-difference time domain (FDTD) method are the most popular ones. The ray tracing approach ...
متن کاملSteep. Short-Crested Waves and Related Phenomena
Steep, short-crested waves, as well as a large variety of three-dimensional propagating wave patterns have been created in laboratory, utilizing a plunging half-cone. Monochromatic waves, over a range of frequencies and amplitudes through breaking and including soliton wave groups near resonance, have been observed and studied in a small wave flume. This monochromatic wavemaker creates complex ...
متن کاملElastic Wave Propagation at Imperfect Boundary of Micropolar Elastic Solid and Fluid Saturated Porous Solid Half-Space
This paper deals with the reflection and transmission of elastic waves from imperfect interface separating a micropolar elastic solid half-space and a fluid saturated porous solid half-space. Longitudinal and transverse waves impinge obliquely at the interface. Amplitude ratios of various reflected and transmitted waves are obtained and computed numerically for a specific model and results obta...

متن کاملBluetooth Indoor Channel Simulation
The Bluetooth radio multipath, fading indoor channel with Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN), was evaluated by simulation using a component-based architecture to model the Physical layer. The communication model included Forward Error Correction (FEC) and Automatic Repeat Request (ARQ) schemes. The observed Bit Error Rate (BER) versus Signal:Noise Ratio (SNR) using AWGN and a statistical chan...
